Macally Icecam2 Driver Mac

Wow to the new technology from Macally IceCam2. IceCam2 has high-speed USB 2.0 transfer rate, along with built-in microphone which was not included in previo. IceCam2 USB webcam from MacAlly. But spec-wise (and for the price), does this sound like something that would work for me until I wind up with a newer Mac at some point? I know it's not going to be as good as Apple's standalone FireWire iSight, but those aren't made anymore and I'm not going to pay the nutball prices I'm seeing on eBay.
