With this handy system utility you can extend your Mac disk space to unlimited, the only condition is an active Internet connection. Ready to find out how it works? It is really easy!
Unlike native clients, CloudMounter does not sync local information with your online accounts, it really mounts remote servers on your Mac, like removable disks. You can copy, move, open, download and upload files to your cloud servers, just as you would be doing it with your local folders. CloudMounter has a rather handy Finder extension. Activate it to see loading statuses of your files. You can even move files between cloud accounts, without having to manually copy them to your local computer. Keep in mind that a temporary copy of the file is still saved to a computer only to be removed after the transfer is completed.
CloudMounter is a safe and secure utility. It allows to encrypt your personal data on the cloud servers, so that only CloudMounter user with a master password can see it. Viewing the storage from any other point of access (i.e. browser or native client) will show nothing but nonsense.
Besides encryption of your online data, all connections are performed through the native API of cloud services, which means that all your login credentials are not used by the app for anything else except for logging in appropriate accounts and of course are not shared with any third parties. All passwords for FTP, WebDAV and Amazon S3 accounts are securely kept in macOS Keychain.
CloudMounter is your must-have tool if you use several cloud accounts or if your Mac SSD drive has an extremely low capacity. Try it now and enjoy the benefits of an all-in-one cloud solution.

Just wish there was a UI for tracking uploads

Love being able to mount my OneDrive in the Finder, as I keep a lot of data there that isn’t on my SSD. The UI integrates seamessly with the Finder, and is simple and self-explanatory.
The one thing sorely missing is the ability to monitor your uploads. The Menu Bar dropdown says when there’s a transfer going, and how many files remain, and the Finder integration shows an icon indicating the upload of a file in progress, but NOWHERE is is possible to see how far along the transfer is. If you’re uploading a 250MB file, it’s impossible to tell if you’re 5MB or 200MB in, and as such, it’s impossible to even guess how much longer the transfer will taken. This is a major oversight on the part of the developer.
Fix this problem, my review becomes 5 stars. (Having said that, I’m using the free version and if I ever needed the paid features, I’d probably just get by with HTTPS and FTP transfers, since the price is higher than I’d like — especially for subscription ware.)

Developer Response,

Thank you for posting your feedback. I would like to inform you that the 'progress bar' feature will be added in further updates of CloudMounter software.

Works with some additional work

theres actually 2 different aws s3 guides on the website, i followed one that pretty much left alot out... a hour later i found one that was also a little outdated but some common sense i was able to figure it out. reffering to AWS s3

Great Idea, Poor Execution.

As someone who does server-work across many servers, the mountable drives are a God-send. That said, at $10/qtr, CloudMounter is far from 'great'. Just to mention a few:
- The time between small file-changes and file-upload is atrocious. It may only be 5-10 seconds, but this adds up quickly. I won't event get into the actual transfer speeds..
- There is no progress provided whatsoever. No way to identify if something is 'stuck' or encountering a permissions error.
- Making changes on the server are rarely reflected on clients; typically I am forced to unmount and re-mount to see the changes.
After contacting them about these (and other) issues, I was sent an article about how ftp works and how I must be doing it wrong. As someone whos worked with servers for 20 years, that was pretty insulting. FTP is reasonably quick, somehow CloudMounter's implementation of it is slow.
All in all, there is no alternative, and I'm thankful it exists. But truth be told, in its current state, if ever there comes an alternative, I'll drop CloudMounter in a heartbeat. Hell, given nothing changes, I might create one myself, just out of spite.

Developer Response,

Thank you for leaving such a thorough review. The data is updated from the connected server within the standard timeout period - 30-60 seconds. Unfortunately, it cannot be reduced. The only way to check the status of your uploads is to open the mounted drives in Finder (there you can find special icons next to the files). Once you click on any folder or file in the list, the list will be automatically refreshed. Also, switching between the drives will result in the list refreshing.
We'd also like to assure you that our developers are constantly working on the app improvements. Thank you for your time for sharing your experience.
