RV Rental Benefits for Wheelchair Users
Thursday, May 26th, 2011Often when you are a wheelchair user, it can seem like your choices for taking a vacation are more limited because of the limitations of your mobility issues. But that doesn’t stop those people who happen to like taking a specially adapted RV out onto the open road to explore the great outdoors without feeling limited in any way. The only thing that stops some people in this situation from realizing their dreams is the cost of owning a suitably converted RV for wheelchair users.
However, even the huge outlay costs of owning an RV will not deter the determined lover of the open road who will seek every available option. One such option to buying an RV outright is to rent one. This can represent a fraction of the cost of buying and comes with a lot of great advantages that may not be so apparent at first glance. The first is the greatly reduced cost of renting a wheelchair adapted RV for two weeks or so, but with that come some unexpected bonuses.
There are some great benefits to be had from taking advantage of some good deals on wheelchair accessible RV rentals, especially where you can pick up the RV at a preset destination. It can save you time and mileage on the road driving through places you do not want to be. Instead you can just get a flight or a train to the town where you can pick the RV up, which will be at a point near to where you want to be and then enjoying traveling around right there.
Another great benefit is the fact that you do not have to pay for a years worth of auto insurance to own an RV, let alone the additional cost of finding someplace to park it up if you can’t get it onto your drive, or your community by-laws do not allow you to have a large vehicle on your drive.
Planning your driving vacation can be almost as much fun as actually being there. If you wanted to drive around another state for instance, you don’t have to drive all the way there and back as you would have to if you owned your own RV, which can take several days out of your vacation and in some cases dampen the excitement of getting out to see places you have not seen before. But when you pick up a rental at a town in that state, you get to put those days you just saved to good use in driving around to see all the sights that you wanted to see.
Renting an RV is such an obvious choice, I bet you wonder why you didn’t think of it before!
